      Description

      The current setup with SDE
might not be optimal for those that really want to use this day-to-day.
Most of the parts are built and offered separately by the Go server.

Is it worthwhile to set up and package/document a ready to run package that does not need

      Risks:

      • Build and test on multiple host systems (Ubuntu, Fedora, ... different versions)
      • Provide support on an unknown configuration
      • Qt has some tricky problems around paths (the actual Qt binaries care about which path they are installed at!)

      Countermeasures:

      • Most of the tools run quite stand-alone. Eclipse needs Java but otherwise runs from its install directory without any other "installation" required, and others are similar.
